Short-term Visiting Scholars to Contribute to the Global Horizons Work

In 2019, SCAS was granted funding by Riksbankens Jubileumsfond for its new Global
Horizons Fellowship programme, which welcomes scholars engaged in research in the
field of global governance. In addition to the two residential Fellowships (one Advanced
and one Young Scholar) offered every year during a five-year period, another important
component of the programme is the invitation of small groups of internationally qualified
scholars for short-term research stays at the Collegium. Scholars may come from all
disciplines, but need to have a demonstrated research focus on the themes of the pro-
gramme. During these on-site research stints, they can engage in topical, collaborative
work.

The first cohort of Short-term Visiting Scholars of the programme are scheduled to join
the Collegium during the spring, for one-month stays commencing late April 2020*. The
scholars are:

Afshin Mehrpouya, Associate Professor of Accounting and Management Control Systems,
HEC Paris
Klaus Salminen, Filmmaker, Producer, Director and Scriptwriter, Berlin
Adrienne Sörbom, Professor of Sociology, Stockholm University and Södertörn University

*The short-term stays have been postponed until the autumn of 2020 due to the current
situation with the coronavirus/COVID-19 pandemic.
